Soccer has more participants worldwide than any other sport. As more international players utilize scouting and recruiting services, college coaches are finding it easy to locate talented stars from other countries. The number of U.S. high school soccer players increased by over 11,000 from 2001 to 2002. It is getting much more difficult for U.S. born soccer players to get recruited by college coaches.
