Tennis is one of the 10 most popular sports in high school in the U.S. and is rapidly gaining in popularity internationally. As more international players utilize scouting and recruiting services, college coaches are finding it easy to locate talented stars from other countries.

The number of U.S. high school male tennis players alone has increased by over 4,000 from 2001 to 2002. It is getting much more difficult for U.S. born players to get recruited by college coaches.
